LASH FAQ’s

Eyelash extensions are the biggest kept secret to getting bigger, fuller, longer lashes! Lash Extensions are synthetic material (silk, faux mink, or real Siberian mink fur) and are tapered to a fine point to mimic natural lashes in a variety of lengths and thicknesses. They are applied one by one to your natural individual lash. Sometimes a natural  lash line is sparse, thus 2D, 3D, 4D and volume lashes are applied, which add more than one lash at a time to a natural individual lash. Volume Hybrid Lash combines these two techniques. Lastly, festive colors and Swarovski crystals are available to customize your look even more.

Lashes can stay on up to 60 days with proper care and monthly maintenance. General aftercare plays a big roll in lash performance. Since the lash is adhered onto your natural lash, and a normal lash growth/shed cycle is 30-60 days, the lashes will fall out, and a new lash will grow .At that time we will perform a lash fill for you on your new growth.

-We use the safest, most luxurious adhesive to ensure your eyes are not only safe, but pampered with our lashes. Our adhesives dry very soft on the lashes, allowing flex and bounce with your natural lash line.
-We include complimentary under eye anti-aging gel pads at each appointment (or tape), to hold down bottom lashes. These gel pads add collagen and elastin to reduce under-eye circles so not only will your lashes look amazing at the end of your appointment, but also your whole eye area.

The most common thing I hear at the studio and is the top concern for new clients.  The short answer is – Not at all! We use only the highest quality adhesive, specially formulated for use on eyelashes. If you have had friends tell you they have had eyelash extensions damage their natural lashes, chances are they went to a place where they were using below standard product, or were inexperienced at applying eyelash extensions.  Our eyelash extensions DO NOT affect your natural lashes! In fact, we do many repairs from other less advanced practitioners.

A full set of lash extensions takes between 1.5-2 hours to apply.
Getting lash extensions done is the most relaxing procedure you could get besides a massage! Most of our clients fall asleep as they lounge with their eyes closed on the lash lounge chair. We will be delicately isolating your natural lashes with a pair of tweezers, and applying individual extensions with medical grade adhesive to your natural lashes.

1. Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with a mild, oil free cleanser and oil free makeup remover. We can do it for you, but would rather spend time working on perfecting your lashes. If you can, go 24 hrs without mascara for best bonding results.
2. Feel free to do regular makeup routine, just do not put on mascara.
3. Plan to set aside about 2 hours for an initial lash set appointment, and one hour for a refill appointment. Most of our guests fall asleep during the lash process; only to wake up amazed with their gorgeous eyes lushly lashed!

For most of our clients, fills are ideal around the 3 week mark. Our more active clients (hot yoga, swimmers, or women with naturally oily skin) come a bit sooner (2 weeks) and some other clients who follow aftercare very well (applying our daily sealant, combing them well etc.) can go 3-4 weeks between fills.
Fill prices are dependent on how long it has been since your last appointment. The longer you wait to come in, the more lashes will need to be filled and therefore will cost more. You can choose how much time you would like the lash artist to fill your lashes. The choices are 60, 75, and 90 minutes. Remember, as your natural lashes become accustomed to the extensions and with a little practice maintaining the lashes, the time between refills can be extended.

You bet! The best part about lash extensions is that they look perfect no matter what the activity. We recommend to apply our coating sealant both before and after strenuous activities to keep the bonds strong and conditioned, but other than that… you go girl!

For the first 48-72  hours after receiving your lash extensions please keep them free of moisture, sweat, make-up or tears, steam bath, or direct water spray.72 hrs ensures optimal bonding.
To maintain your lash extensions, Aftercare is paramount! We will expertly apply and bond your new lashes with the best products. In return your lashes need to be maintained with the best products as well. Avoid oil based products near the eye area. Oil free removers, and avoiding mascaras and certain eyeliners near the extensions. We do carry extension friendly mascaras, eyeliners, etc at the studio.
After the 72 hours, Daily you need to cleanse your lashes gently to prevent build up on your new lashes. This can be done with a makeup remover or our lash cleanser.

We recommend  that you avoid mascara as the tars and oils it contains may damage the bonds of the extensions.  If you must use it I recommend just applying to the tips with water soluble mascara. Also remember, rubbing directly on the lashes, or using mascara remover will weaken the bonding. This may also twist the extensions or make them fall out. We strongly recommend you avoid wearing mascara, curling and rubbing your eyes or pulling on your extensions.

A lash lift is a procedure done without the use of extensions.  It curls and lifts your natural lashes. If you are blonde a lash tint really makes the lashes pop. Lasts for 6-8 weeks. It is a fantastic alternative to extensions.
